                <text>A iconografia isabelina é um património artístico riquíssimo no domínio da escultura, da gravura, da pintura e do azulejo, com início ainda em vida da rainha, com a estátua jacente do túmulo gótico que ela própria mandou construir. Remonta, no entanto, à data da sua beatificação em 1520, o início de um importante ciclo iconográfico, que tem representações em todos os períodos e estilos artísticos até aos nossos dias, constituindo um património cultural cuja falta de estudo é uma lacuna grave que urge preencher.</text>

              <text>Esta gravura integra a monumental série &lt;em&gt;Lusitanorum,Regum Icones Ordinis Temporum Expositae&lt;/em&gt; elaborada em 1708 por Domenico Dupra, importante pintor da corte portuguesa, e dedicada a André de Melo e Castro embaixador extraordinário do Rei D. João V junto do Papa Clemente XI. O casal régio é representado dentro de uma moldura rodeada por ramos de loureiro, numa cartela que contém uma extensa legenda em latim. A Rainha está desenhada de perfil junto a D. Dinis embora em segundo plano seguindo o modelo concebido por Cornelius Galle para a Anacephalaeoses.</text>
